Where should a police plaque order be delivered?
Shield Recognition ships police plaques worldwide, and the written quote confirms the service for your address. What trips up a retirement gift is the person who signs for the parcel. A station front desk, a union hall and a retiree's own porch each carry a different risk, mostly that the surprise is spoiled or the parcel sits unopened until the ceremony.
The list helps prepare your request. Shipping availability, import arrangements and transit time are confirmed for the actual delivery address.
Should a retirement plaque go to the station or a home address?
Send it to the organizer, not the recipient. A box addressed to the station can land on the retiree's own desk if the mailroom sorts by name. Use the organizer's name and unit, or a home address, and tell the front desk to expect it. For a family gift, a relative's address keeps the surprise.
What if awards are presented at a banquet hall or an academy?
Have the box go to the department first. Banquet halls and training academies seldom store parcels, and nobody there can check a rank or a spelling. Receive the order at the station, open it, compare it with the proof, then carry the pieces to the venue sorted in the order of the program.
How do you plan an order for a department outside the United States?
Put the country and the receiving office in your first message. Your quote then sets out the delivery service and how import paperwork and duties are handled for that destination. Government buyers sometimes need a named consignee, so tell us who that is. Making and transit are separate stages; share the ceremony date and we will say whether the plan is realistic.
How should pieces be packed for a stage versus a wall?
Tell us which it is. Awards handed out on stage can be grouped and labeled in program order, so the presenter's aide lifts them out in sequence. A memorial plaque or a service board is going on a wall, so ask about the mounting hardware and keep the piece boxed until the wall is ready. Count every plaque against the proof when you unpack.
